Watermelon mania
When I saw this weeks Fantabulous Cricut Challenge, I remembered these pictures I took of my sons eating watermelon. They love this fruit and usily ends up very sitcky and sweet. I used Basicgray's Ribbon Candy papers from the Blitzen Collection for the background, Cricut's Doodlecharms cartridge for the melon border and tag, Opposites Attract cartridge for the title and George and Basic Shapes cartridge for the flags. I sanded the photo edges and added black buttons to resemble the watermelon pips. I just LOVE how this page turned out!

Missed the Julie Bonner sketch challenge!
I've had the most crazy 2 weeks after returning from 5 weeks leave (serves me right you might say)! Hence, I missed out on the Julie Bonner challenge over at Let's Scrap. Never mind. Here's my take on it anyway! Thanks for sneaking a look!
The papers are from "Three bugs in a rug" and the range is called "Chalk Garden". The penguin is from the ZooBalloo Cricut cartridge. I also made the invitations to the party using the same penguin, just a bit larger.

In anticipation of Valentine's day, I've made this "sweet" card...
I used Plantin Schoolbook for the 'label' and George and Basic Shapes for the jar and lid.

Christmas Tins
I did this in the Saturday Feel Good Scrap Day. These decorated tins are so versatile:
- you can hang them on your christmas tree,
- put them under your christmas tree as decorations,
- give them as gifts,
- use them as gift containers/ wrapping
- use them as table place settings and add some after-dinner mints for guests.
Can you think of some more uses? Let me know. Thanks for looking!

Soul Sisters
I have just received an e-mail notification saying that I (together with a lot of other ladies) have won a gift from Souls Sisters (http://www.soulsisters.co.za/eng/aboutus.html)! I am speechless (OK, mabe not speechless, but totally in shock). I can't say I never win anything, but it is really on the rare occasions in my life where I have won something, and now this delicious early Christmas gift from Soul Sisters:
Soul Sisters Craft Club bag, Lily K scrapbook product, 20% Get Scrapping! discount voucher and a copy of Paint on Paper/ Verf op Papier
If I was living in the "Boland" of South Africa I would have been a lifelong member. The best I can do is tell everyone about the wonderful craft sisterhood Soul Sisters create and entice my mom (whose living in Cape Town) to join you.
Thank you Monean!
